Due to a perfectly healthy addiction to My Name Is Earl (I discovered it late) I now have a perfectly unhealthy desire to listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd. Frighteningly, they have a cruise! Maybe it’s been going on for a while and I just missed it too…
Bredbyn

Did you ever notice that the bread from Ikea is made in a place called Bredbyn in Sweden? ;)
Analogue watch for the linux geek in your life…

Nice watches on ebay at Poljot Watches, and if you’re a penguin-bothering type of geek, especially this one, with 24-hour dial and penguins!
Open all hours
Trying to buy a Wifi connection card last night (or this morning, to be precise) I got a message from Telefonica’s online shop: “Store open between 12:00 and 07:00”!
What, the shopkeeper needs some downtime? I’ll refrain from saying “bloody typical”. Oops, just did…
Starting as I mean to go on.
Uh-oh, a few hours into 2008 and I’m searching for wifi access points in Manchester. I’m not sure if that’s a good omen or a bad one.

Anyway, Happy New Year and if you’re a client, as you can see I’m just as connected as usual.
(And BTOpenzone… steep! Need to get sorted for Fon ASAP, although in Manchester there aren’t that many spots.)
'Tache-tastic!
Thanks to Tom for this story on upper lips stiffened by a bit (or a lot) of furniture.
Back to the future with ecorevelado!

Like the last 10 years never happened: “A new Sales channel: INTERNET.” It goes on: “You’ll have access to our website, like a directory, so that clients can find you…” What will they think of next?
Seen at Sonimagfoto, which I have to say was very disappointing, compared to the last time I went, which was a while ago. The only presentation I (almost) sat through was so tedious (and full of poor information, badly presented) I have quite a collection of photos of the ceiling, the back of the head of the man in front and my shoes.
Microscope marketing
I like this.
Nice.
Hmmm, tasty!
There’s this little Japanese bar on Muntaner just above Mallorca and I’d always seen it from the bus and thought I really must go there. Well, finally I did. I wish I hadn’t waited so long! The name is Catalan (Una Mica de JapĆ³) but the place is as authentic as I can imagine, taking into account I haven’t been to Japan.
What I noticed passing by on the TMB number 66 was that usually the people at the little bar were Japanese. Good sign. Anyway, recommended, if you want what I expect is what your mama would cook you at home, if your mama was Japanese.
Talking of CSS…
I should really update the theme for this blog!
